The art at The Leela Ambience Gurugram is a subtle reminder of early Gurugram, called as Gurgaon, which over time has evolved to what we now call Gurugram, the “Millennium City”. Most of the paintings signify the rural landscape which depicts animals, small towns, and local people. The collection of art has been done by the renowned artist Raghu Rai, who mentored budding artists to capture the different moods of the city in various art forms. The spiral staircase on either side of the lobby is also inspired by the two major crop cycles - Kharif and Rabi. A majority of the artwork spread across the hotel signifies how the landscape has changed from agricultural land to its new avatar of high-rise buildings and multiplexes. The red and blue installations in the lobby and level one, opposite the hotel entrance signify two rising elephants which is very symbolic of the hotel and its stature.
