The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts are more than just luxurious places for stay, they are living canvases showcasing the vibrant tapestry of art and culture and embody the magnificence of India’s regal heritage. Each artwork at our palace properties tell a story, reflecting the rich heritage and cultural nuances of the region it represents.

We weave traditional Indian art forms into the very fabric of our design aesthetic, from intricate carvings that echo the mastery of ancient artisans to hand-painted murals that breathe life into vibrant cultural narratives.

The rituals provide exclusive access to local musicians, story tellers and performing art forms, echoing the ancient traditions and culture that represent the quintessence of India.

The Leela’s ode to cultural diversity:
The Leela’s ceremonial rituals at The Leela Palace Bengaluru include the performance of the Mahila Yakshagana. With its elaborate costumes, vibrant makeup, and intricate masks, this art form pays homage to the revered story telling technique of the state of Karnataka.

Uplifting The Unsung

Our commitment to social responsibility goes beyond a one-time initiative. We are dedicated to the continuous development and upliftment of the communities we serve, ensuring a brighter future for all.

Partnership with Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation
Since the year 2021, The Leela has partnered with the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, protecting the child rights and empowering women leaders across
11 villages covered by the Bal Mitra Gram programme in rural Rajasthan.

The Bal Mitra Gram, or child-friendly villages programme, strives to catalyse holistic, community-driven initiatives that dismantle systemic barriers, depriving children of their childhood. In villages plagued by child labour, forced marriages, and lack of education, we work with stakeholders to empower communities, promote democracy, and advocate for inviolable child rights.

The programme empowered over 2,022 girls aged 6-18 so they could realize their full potential by promoting child protection, school enrolment, and preventing child marriage in the year 2023.

Across 11 villages, around 210 women participated in the Women’s Group, a major channel for ensuring child protection and other interventions in the region.
