The first batch of 23 associates ready to take on roles as Assistant Managers

India, 16 August:  The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts celebrated the graduation of the inaugural batch of Leela Leadership Development Programme, Class of 2023 with a formal ceremony which took place recently at The Leela Palace New Delhi. This momentous occasion was graced by notable dignitaries including Shri Amitabh Kant – G20 Sherpa India, who also addressed the graduating batch, industry stalwarts and the proud parents gathered to celebrate this achievement.

Leela Leadership Development Programme (LLDP) is a tailored Management Training programme developed in partnership with Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) in alliance with Les Roches. The programme has been designed to identify and groom the best talent in the industry and nurture luxury leaders of tomorrow. The brand launched the programme, in May last year.

LLDP Class of 2023 completed their 15-month programme built around a world class curriculum that focused on the necessary skills and competencies specifically nuanced to cater to the needs of the hospitality industry and the expectations of a luxury consumer. It facilitated functional training including knowledge, skills and behavioural aspects through a combination of classroom and on the job training with blended learning modules on global hospitality competencies. 

The second batch LLDP Class of 2024 is currently undergoing their training and the brand has now opened applications for the next batch of LLDP Class of 2025.

Available for both internal and external candidates, the programme is available for those who have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and one year of experience in a luxury hotel. It is an inclusive programme that promotes employee development and fast tracks their growth into Managers and future General Managers within The Leela.
