Spread across 240 acres in the heart of the city, Lalbagh boasts nearly 1,854 species of plants, making it a breathtaking sight for visitors. Commissioned by Hyder Ali in 1760 and completed by his son Tipu Sultan, the garden features rare plants from France, Persia, and Afghanistan, earning it the status of a Government Botanical Garden.

The Lalbagh Rock, a major attraction, is over 3 billion years old and is a testament to the garden's rich history. This botanical garden is a photographer's delight, with its famous glass house where an annual flower show is held. Additionally, Lalbagh also houses an aquarium and a serene lake, making it a one-stop destination for all nature lovers.
